Biomedical Graduate Program Consortium
The Biomedical Graduate Program Consortium at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is made up of three programs that work collaboratively to tailor students’ training to their individual academic and research interests.
Participating Programs
- Endocrinology – Reproductive Physiology
- Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology
- Molecular and Environmental Toxicology
Admissions
Your admission to one of the three degree-granting programs offers the flexibility to complete a laboratory rotation and/or elective courses from other consortium programs. It is also possible to switch to a different consortium program early in your academic career.
The application fee allows you to apply to up to three programs.
If you are interested in coursework and/or a laboratory rotation in other consortium programs, but you do not wish to apply to those programs, please include those interests on your application.
Rotations
After completing three one-month rotations during your first semester, you will join one lab where you will complete your doctoral research. You may choose between completing all rotations in labs associated with your degree-granting program or completing one of your three rotations in a lab associated with another consortium program.
Seminars
As a consortium student, you are welcome to attend all three programs’ seminars.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Your tuition fees will be paid by the program and you will receive a competitive stipend to cover other expenses, as long as you remain in good academic standing. Comprehensive health insurance is available at a minimal cost.
